I agree, FourBear. They have to look perfect or else they don't get the jobs. Perfect on screen is about 10 pounds lighter than in real life. In addition, weight is something actresses can control. If they are not doing well professionally, it is something that they can do something about (even if it is not the real problem). Sometimes they carry it to extremes.

Do's and Don'ts of Wearing Perfume
The perfume fragrances you wear can cause people to be attracted to you or, unfortunately, to flee from you! You should carefully choose perfumes that enhance the space around you. Be careful not to offend others with fragrances that are too strong. Here are some quick perfume tips on choosing and wearing fragrances. Choosing a Perfume Fragrance Find a fragrance that complements your skin and natural aroma of your body. The scent should be subtle enough to not invade anyone else's "personal space" but pleasant enough that others will want to stay around you. Perfume is meant to enhance your personality, attire, and overall being. When you visit the fragrance department in a department store, sample perfumes by spraying a couple of fragrances on your skin in areas located far apart from one another. For example, spray one type on your hand and the other on your upper arm. Don't try spraying on more than two fragrances in a single trip. Then, leave the store or at least the perfume section for a few minutes to smell the fragrances on your skin. This will allow you to smell the scents without them blending with others from the fragrance section. Try each scent directly on your skin to be sure it's the perfect match. The fragrance should blend well with your normal body aroma, as well as the scents of your clothing detergent, shampoos, and makeup. If you think you've found the perfect perfume for you, wait a day before buying. Try on a sample of only that particular perfume from the department store and then leave it on for a day. Be sure it doesn't lose its scent during the day, change scents, or cause any allergies or headaches. Wearing it for a day should reveal all of these. Do's of Wearing Perfume If you have dry skin, wear extra perfume. The oils in your skin, or lack thereof, can enhance or weaken the scent. When it's cold out, wear extra perfume. Cold weather tends to weaken the scent as well. When, buying new perfume, don't base your decision on what works for someone else. Try it out on your own skin first. Everyone's skin reacts differently to a scent. The best time to apply perfume is right after a shower or bath. After bathing, your skin pores will be open and will soak up the perfume's fragrance. Also when bathing, use non-deodorized soap where the perfume will be applied. Soaps and deodorants can affect how the perfume will smell on your skin; the mixture won't always be pleasant! When applying perfume, dab it in unusual places where it will stay warm and keep its scent longer. It can be applied on the inside of the elbow, on the wrist, neck, stomach, cleavage, and back of the knees. Don'ts of Wearing Perfume While there are many positives to wearing perfume, there are few things to avoid. One involves perfume and jewelry. Certain types of jewelry, such as costume or pearl jewelry, can become discolored due to perfume alcohols. Some jewelry can also be stripped of its outer coating. When wearing perfume with this type of jewelry, apply it away from the jewelry. Don't use only one perfume year round. Test out various perfumes during seasonal changes to see which ones work best in the hot or cool temperatures. Different fragrances are affected by temperatures when it comes to scent intensity. Never apply perfume behind the ears. It can blend with skin secretions and create a bad smell. Also, don't spray perfume onto light-colored clothes because it can turn the fabric yellow. When buying perfumes online, try out the same brand and scent in a local store first to be sure it's right for you. You can often find great perfumes and men's colognes such as Adidas, Antonio Puig, Anucci, Byblos, Britney Spears, Bulgari, Chanel, Capucci, Cartier, and more at online shopping stores. I don't usually have a problem with perfume unless somebody is wearing way too much. I shouldn't be able to smell you from more than 10 feet away! When it's that strong, I usually begin sneezing.

Every once in a while I will invest in perfume. Otherwise I usually blend some fragrance oils or essential oils and mix them with unscented body cream. By the way, I have also heard that wearing perfume when you plan to be outside for long periods of time can attract insects. I guess this depends on the scent and the clothing that you are wearing.

What's In Your Closet?
 
I have been busy packing away my winter clothes and taking out sunny weather appropriate clothing from the storage. I really love the process of sifting through pile high of clothes and religiously placing them in the right place where I know I will be able to find them. My husband tells me that the only time he doesn't hear a peep from me is when I "play" with my clothes. After a little bit of rummaging, I have realized how much of a pack rat I am. I do not ever throw anything out. In fact, I just enjoy making what's old, new again. It's a habit I've picked up from my mother (the original diva, did I say?) I have so many clothes and every season, I just add more, and more, and more. There are even some items that hanging in my spring & summer wardrobe in the closet that still have price tags on them. No .... there is nothing wrong with these clothes, I just never got a chance to wear them before winter set in. And we are just talking about articles of clothing, we haven't gotten to discussing my shoe collection! Anyway, my honey and I have just bought a really nice condo and I know I won't be able to bring all of my *precious* clothes with me. So, I have decided that I must make a list of which ones I can bear to part with (no! no! no!) and sell them online. Ebay charges a listing fee and if I listed every single piece with them, I'll go broke! I was considering giving them all away until I found The Personal Closet googling. All listings are free and it's great because I don't want to feel the pressure of making sure everything sells to recover the cost of selling! I should have most of my stuff listed in the next week or so, and feel free to bid on some really nice designer brands, okay?

Surprise, Surprise! Tyra Banks Lost 30 Lbs!
Wasn't it just a couple of months ago that Tyra Banks was publicly shunning her critics and celebrating her curves? Even on the 10th Anniversary of her Sports Illustrated Issue, she donned on the same bikini from the original shoot on her TV Show in February. CBC reported that the "show and the photo shoot are not just a fight against tabloids but a fight for women". And then, we see this brand new and re-invented Tyra Banks 30lbs lighter, and on the cover of the upcoming Life & Style Magazine Issue. Good for her. I remember a Celeb Rep (not naming names) once said "these superstars have got it tough; they have a responsibility to their adoring fans to remain as perfect as the first time they stepped into the spotlight." Me, I just think somebody up in the higher chain of command, blatantly told her to lose weight. After all, she is the creator of America's Top Model... and in this business appearance is everything.

I think she was about 170lbs at the peak of that little controversy in January. She's always been a little bit bigger than that standard 0 models. That's why she's been such an inspiration to many. I am a big Tyra fan. It's hard having to face all that pressure.

What does that person mean she has a responsibility to her fans? That is ridiculous the only one she has a responsibility towards when it concerns her weight is herself. I think she looked good then and she looks good now.

There should be more fans like you other there tater03. Unfortunately the general masses are not so forgiving. Hence, the rise of all these crazy tabloid stuff. It's so very easy for a celebrity to be a "has been" and once you've crossed that mark, it is very hard to come back and re-invent yourself. Few do it so successfully. And with her being the creater of America's top model where the stress is that if you are not skinny and beautiful, you are not going to make it, it's very hard for the top execs to overlook the fact that she has gained some weight.

I thought Tyra looked good with a few pounds on her, but in the end she has to feel good about herself. I think she felt fat even if she said otherwise. Good for her for losing the weight!

I am thinking that many a male fan screamed loud and long... thus, Tyra was told she HAD to lose weight. I thought it was fantastic that she stood up for her weight and didn't have issue with it. She wasn't that heavy! If she chose to lose weight for *her*.. good for her. If she had to lose weight to please others.. not good.

YAY! TShirts get a facelift! I *love* tshirts, but too often they just are too casual and messy looking for my taste. However, these tshirts are very cool and hip. I'll definitely have to check them out!

6 Things People Must Know About Natural Mole Removal

Thanks for the information. I had a mole surgically removed and now have a 1/2" x 1/4" scar. I'd much rather have the mole.

I had several moles removed earlier this month at the doctor's office. It was done by her running electricity through the mole. No scars were left behind, but it did cost $125.00. I am black and since moles tend to appear with age, I will definitely look into this product. It would be nice to have the moles removed without paying for a doctor's visit!
