Girls Gone Wild, better known for their sexy controversial videos, has taken a step towards a new direction. The company is launching a contemporary apparel collection for men and women at the MAGIC Tradeshow in Las Vegas February 2007.
The buzz among fashion watchdogs is that the collection of sportswear, loungewear, intimate apparel and swimwear will exceed expectations. The collection is described as edgy and youthful.
Could it be that they are expanding beyond their current apparel colors of blue and pink? The company's press release has quoted founder Joe Francis "... there's a little Girls Gone Wild in every woman and our clothing line helps them to express that."
Amongst the A list names involved in the creation of the collection are: Jennifer Mallini (celebrity stylist), Ashley Paige (known for her hand knit bikini designs) and BB Originals (loungewear and intimate apparel production).
The collection will be hitting boutiques and department stores this year.
